Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. The father of her is Nigerian as well as Swiss, while the mother of her is English. She was raised in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. She earned her BA in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions, such as King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. Since then, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she played Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She played Bambi on The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her debut in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show ran on The CW for only two episodes before being removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Following her appearance as a regular on the first two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that Madekwe would depart the series following her appearance on the premiere episode from the 3rd season. From 2014 until 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe was married to her long-time partner, Iddo. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. In the age of two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance immediately. Ashley was a competitor in tap, jazz and ballet at the top divisions. Every important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the honor of "top Soloist".
